DUDE ,, i don't want to scare U ,, but arabic is one of the hardest languages in the world ,, trust me ,, i mean .. i do speak arabic too نعم أنا أتكلم العربية أيضا و ربما لغتي العربية أفضل من لغتك فأنا أسكن في دولة عربية ودرست اللغة لأكثر من اثنتي عشرة سنة U R doing good ,, having said that ,, i suggest U to focus on one accent ,, egyption might be good for its the most popular ,, try to overdo it and U'll eventually get confused >_< trust me

@nchung69 No offense, but see, this is the type of attitude we all must overcome when it comes to language learning. What does learning a particular language have to do with getting laid? It should just be about the desire to learn and willing to explore. Thanks for viewing.

@waskwask83 I can speak Arabic with a perfect Lebanese accent making me pass as a Lebanese. Could be because most of my friends are from Lebanon but I found the most difficult dialect was the Moroccan dialect. It could also be because this dialect is the furthest from Arabic in regards to its evolution and the fact that over 40% of Moroccans are illiterate.

This book is good, but the writers did a poor job finishing it. There are misspellings, lose translations and other errors in almost every chapter. But overall a good investment for those who are interested in arabic.

Only standard Arabic is used for writing, some people nowadays write Dialect Arabic on the internet though, but its not common anywhere else.

I just ordered this and a couple of other Arabic learning books (Mastering Arabic (Hippocrene Mastering) and The Arabic Alphabet: How to read and write it)). it's going to take some time since I'm overseas but I can't wait to get my hands on it and start learning.

I was being pretty crude, no offense taken. Many linguists and sociologists that language and culture are inseparable. For me, I want to become immersed in both the language and culture. Though I have not been to any Arab countries it seems as though the sexes are kept very seperate and coming from a western background (guyanese) that baffles me. It seems like there's no point if I can only communicate, in large part, with one gender. Thanks for sharing the knowledge tho bro
