FILM CONTEST

The College of Arts and Letters at The University of Southern Mississippi is sponsoring a contest for all up and coming filmmakers as part of the World of Words and Big Read initiatives.

Have a cause you want people to hear about?

Interested in dressing up, spouting silly dialogue, and entertaining the masses?

Now is your chance!

Make a film, upload it to YouTube.




Any short film, thats 10 minutes or less, is eligible for untold honors and somewhat more limited cash prizes.

Any film is eligible, though there are three categories with opportunities to win:

Students or student groups may win

Best Advocacy Film

But Students, faculty, staff, AND community may enter to win

Best Fantasy Film

and Best in Show




Send the link to your PG or PG-13 rated film with your name, phone number, and email address to wow@usm.edu. Make sure Film Contest is in the subject line and send it before 5 p.m. November 23, 2009.

Winning videos will be unveiled in February 2010.
