What's that tune?

The pity is most people will listen to this on their computer speakers. Having analyzer output data along with this would be really useful.

@torch9t9 The tune is "Time Capsule in Tokyo" by The David James Band. I thought it was appropriate since the quite parts in the song can really expose noise problems. Thanks for the analyzer comment, maybe we can try to include some in future tests.

Nice real world demo. What is your take on the DR-40 and R-26? Is the R-26 worth the price difference?

@LeeLannom I do like the R-26 better. Its touch screen interface is easier to use, It can record 4ch external mics (rather than the DR-40s 2ch), and does seem to have just slightly better noise floor. But for more than 2x the price, its hard to justify. If all you need is the one set of internal mics, one set of external, and money is of some concern, IMO, go with the DR-40...
