@MenechemShaul I do not consider the Byzantine Rite to be a "branch[] of the Roman cult." The Ukrainian Catholic church is sui juris, and has its own liturgy, practices, and discipline, and functions largely free of Roman control. For example, we ordain married men to the priesthood. When Ukrainians first came to the United States in the 1880's, however, we were subjected to discrimination by some RC, who considered us Orthodox, so to fit in, we adopted some Roman customs (e.g. the K of C)!
@mindspring57 I know all this, I was Raised a Roman rite Catholic, They still have K of C councils in the Byzantine rite church as well! You have totally missed my point! Mcgivney founded this brotherhood in New England in the 1800's, still does not mean that the K of C did not spread to other branches of the Roman cult!
@MenechemShaul I do not doubt that they are Catholic, and as such, all Roman rite and Eastern rite Catholics are in communion with each other, but the Knights of Columbus was founded by Fr. Michael McGivney in the context of the Roman rite.
You may wish to investigate the structure of the 23 rites of the Universal Catholic Church.

The term "Mass" is a Roman term.
The proper term for Eastern Christians is "Liturgy"
