It's finally here! The long lost video footage of the Nickelodeon Studios Time Capsule Burial from April 30, 1992. The event was hosted by Get the Picture's Mike O'Mally and Blossom's Joey Lawrence. The time capsule was taken out from Universal and re- buried at the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando, Florida in July 2006. Thanks for spindalis79 for this footage. Enjoy!

  • Where has time gone? Most importantly where has nick gone

  • The 4 people who disliked this are heartless, 2000s kids!

  • Marc Summers is such a nice guy, I've had the liberty of speaking to him once on Facebook, he's even annoyed at how Nickelodeon is running nowadays! The "No Gak in the World" thing came true, sadly, but in 2012, it came back! ^_^!

  • @Bethmasterbtv But in 2012, it came back! =)

  • i'll be 46 when they open this o.o hope they put the opening of the time capsule on tv.

  • little did they know the year 2011 there wouldnt be any gak either.... lol

  • @RanmaChan93 Doc Brown was right

  • @666slipmaiden

Nickelodeon Studios closed because of multiple reasons. The biggest one was that the network's viewers (which at the time were still primarily "90's Kids") lost interest in game shows. Nickelodeon couldn't produce the types of programs viewers wanted in Orlando because actors refused to leave Los Angeles. No actors = no shows. Kids stopped visiting the Studios to take the tour & visit the Gift Shop even on the days when the rest of Universal was packed.

  • I WILL take my children to the opening of the capsule!!!! No matter what!! I'll be 44!! Even though I wasn't born yet I still wanna go!:

  • Did they show one of the guys from hey dude
