  • Great speech. God does resist the proud and does indeed give grace to the humble. And yes doubt should always push us closer to God, it should humble us, it should cause the self-righteousness that so easily besets us as frail human beings to dissipate. The underlying theme of this speech imo is that without love & respect, both sides of the abortion debate are merely making the noise of clanging symbols. The law no longer applies. Mercy & grace in Jesus name must prevail.

  • By the way, I put down a thumbs down for this. I'm not so easily brainwashed or manipulated. Also, you can touch hearts and minds without preaching the Gospel. It's called knowing and accepting God's Word. Why would it necessarily need to be in an order? We're all created in God's Image, all are unique in our own way, to God's liking. If it weren't any good, it would not have ever been. Many people mis-interpret God's Word ALL THE TIME!

  • I'm sorry but that's wrong! When Obama say's, "Doubt should not push Us away from our faith..," With faith it necessarily admits doubt.. he shouldn't be preaching about God to a bunch of Graduates from a school. They either know the truth or they don't know. You're either in it all the way 100%, or just halfing it to look like you know what you're talking about, even when you know deep down you're full of ..it I'll be praying for all those who are strayed away from the faith of God

  • This is nonsense talk that is on the surface and flat. Uninspiring. Bland and generic that goes against the real shining truth of life. the light and love and sacredness of a God that is being crucified daily through our worldy applications of cold justice and self convincing moralism... Abortion, gay marriage, death penalty, premarital sex, hatred, patriotism and pride...all are false. Let's go back to the basic foundation the made USA great. the Bible and the 10 commandments.

  • Abortion is "hidden" murder that decieves the person aborting. Goes against the mother/child relationship and hits at a deeper dignity of humanity. It kills innocents before they had a chance at life. The death penalty would be justified for sure if there were no prisons...I mean that because societies have the luxury of law and prisons we can feel safe from evil people...but in reality if there was no prisons and death penalty, a person like that would have to die to protect others from him.

  • @ Jim - with respect:

I would take a community organizer as leader over Bush any day of the week! Obama is trying to move the collective. Try to bring down the barriers between countries, states, towns, and communities, races and religion. In a lot of ways isn't a community organizer doing the same job as a president, just at a larger scale?

  • Why don't you ask the question of Collectiveness. Ever heard the term Communism. And there is a difference between Christian, Jewish, and Islam. The black and white communities were both hookwinked with the 114th Amendment. But then Obama was a "Community Organizer" and knows better. Any American that believes anything that comes out of this pseudo leader is as much an idiot as he pretends to be. Wake up! A Community Organizer is the leader of our Country? Give me a break DUMBASSES!

  • Amazing how dumbed down the American People are...This is from a Community Organizer! I'm Catholic and these priests/cardinals have no clue what Obama is really talking about.

If I came from an Aftrican background I would be beside myself. Some like to refer to me as an Italian-American. This must be corrected! I'm an AMERICAN get it!

  • I believe in the rights of the woman for abortion, but I also believe in the rights of the child that is not yet born... let's educate and help more our children of tomorrow to reduce the unintended pregnancy...
