Yes... looking back, the worst day at Ft Huachuca ws the day I left. The Sierra Vista area was great place back then. I did vist SV in 1989 and so many changes happend, it turned into a bigger city than it was in the late '70s. I still have great memorys and wold love to go back someday to live there.

What is the name of this song?!

What song is in the background? Because it totally fits the video itself. :)
There is no denying that Sierra Vista has great scenary, but you get used to it after awhile. Then you become bored because there isn't much to do there and you can't really hike the mountains without being a border patrol agent because there is a good chance you will get shot and killed by an illegal sitting in the mountains watching out for border patrol agents in order to guide the illegal immigrants without being spotted. I lived there when I was in the patrol

All that is true. However, I hiked many of the trails on the eastern side of the mountains (And some of the trails on the western, more remote side) and never encountered any illegals or dangerous situations. I think because I was just a hiker, and not a border patrol agent, I wasnt much of a target.

I grew up there...I know every inch of the Huachuca Mountains on Hoof and Foot. Sadly nobody has posted the destruction that the illegal immigrants are causing. Literally acres of land in Miller and Carr Canyon are now covered with trash from illegal human and drug smuggling. It is no longer safe to hike or camp. I still do, when I visit. But never without dogs and guns.

I too saw the trash. But luckily I never encountered any dangerous situations.
