that proves he has some sort'of memory, but he can't tell the difference between things. How to test if he remembers it from his other cage or if it's new... put plexiglass all around and see if he climbs. birds don't like the ground, so twigs. If he grips it, then it means that he remembers doing that. Otherwise, he'd just acknowledge it after a few pecks.
