I've decided that I can't quit this channel. I've been on youtube for 2 years, and quitting just feels like giving up. Not only giving up on myself, but giving up on you guys.
So here's chapter 63 of The Boy Next Door. I hope to finish this series very soon and move on to Saddened, Weakened, Strengthened and Underdog. I think I might start posting Saddened, Weakened, Strengthened on my other channel... hmmm...
Anyway, I hope you like this chapter! You guys mean so much to me and i'm really sorry for being harsh in my last video. I mean, I love reading comments, but I guess what really matters is that I know that you're at least reading my stories. But, please comment if you have the time. :]
Cori's POV
Me and Joe worked on the song all day, and well into the night. We didn't leave my room once. I knew that my parents were confused, especially my Dad. I mean, they thought I was broken up with Joe and dating Kevin... but now I was in my room, alone, with Joe. Yeah, I guess that is kind of confusing...
We wrote multiple songs, most of which Joe wrote and I threw in a word or two.
"Ok... which song are you going to use?" Joe asked at around 1:00 in the morning.
The songs were spread out on the floor and we were sitting cross legged, staring down at them. I had to move a couple out of the way to see the ones beneath it.
"How many did we write?" I asked, exasperated as the papers flew out of the way and crumpled around us.
"Alot." was Joe's answer.
I rolled my eyes and pressed my fingers to my temples, closing my eyes.
"I can't think." I sighed, frustrated. "None of these songs even apply to my situation."
Joe picked up one of them and looked at it. He pursed his lips.
"Yeah... I guess a song about Fireflies doesn't really work..." he muttered, and he picked up another one. "And neither does one about double rainbows." (AN: HAHAHAHA)
I nodded slowly, staring at the floor.
"Boom Boom Bam?" Joe asked, turning to me. "Why the heck would you rip off a Black Eyed Peas song?"
"You wrote that, not me." I muttered.
He looked back at it and bit his lip."Oh yeah... I got bored."
I groaned and stood up. I started pacing my room, my hands on my hips.
"What am I gonna do?!" I exclaimed. "Songs don't work! Kevin probably doesn't want anything to do with me anyway!"
"I thought he said he wanted to be friends." Joe piped up.
"Everyone says that." I sighed, flopping onto my bed. "And it never happens."
Joe got up and flopped down beside me, staring up at the ceiling. I cuddled into him and shut my eyes tight.
"I don't even deserve a boyfriend." I whispered into his shoulder. "Why couldn't I have just turned the light on instead of assuming it was Kevin?"
Joe laughed.
"There's nothing funny about this." I groaned.
"I just think it's funny that there is one thing you haven't even thought of trying." he sighed.
"And what's that?"
"Explaining things." he said with a shrug.
We were both silent for a moment and then I sat up.
"Joe... yet again... you are a genius." I said, a smile slowly spreading across my face.
"I know." he said with a grin.
I hope you liked it! Please comment! =D
