David: Thank you for the information on "Walking on the Moon". I'll check it out. I noticed too the type of canboe you had, the cedar strip model. My brother had one too, with the green canvas covering. We used it extensively as we spent most of the time during the summer out on the water. When I was 12, my friend and I paddled around the Moon to every cottage that had a raft and dove from it. Crazy things you do when you're young in the summertime. Thanks again for pleasant thoughts!

You too and looking forward to more beautiful videos :)

No problem, ha it is a very nice reminder.
It's also very nice in the fall during Thanksgiving, all the leaves changing. The cranberry marsh is a must see.
I'll be sure to check them out:)

LOL. I'd rather upload summer vids in winter. I just got my external hard drive fixed with all my old videos so will be uploading more summer vids soon.
I had one of those gorilla tripods that you can wrap the legs around anything, and that's what I used to attach the camera to the thwarts (cross pieces) of the canoe. Actually for men, canoes are not as tippy as a kayaks are because our centre of gravity (cog) is higher than women's cog. Thanks for watching Rita. :)
Thank you for the video. My parents had a cottage near the end of Moon River Road from 1947 to 1972. We went there every year for the entire summer. Mom stayed there with 5 kids, no running water or hydro, no car and an outhouse! Dad went to work in Toronto and came up on weekends and for his holiday time. I loved it. Have great memories and I still drive up once a year at least to look around. It has changed though! Different from when I was a youngster but I guess that's part of life!

You're so welcome! I loved reading your story. It reminded me of the movie 'A Walk on the Moon' with Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen. You must check in out. In fact it is here on YT in 12 parts. Thanks very much for watching and enjoying "our" favourite bit of paradise in Ontario. Best Wishes, Dave :)

Stunning scenery and so calm.

It's even prettier down near the falls, but I don't like to canoe down that way in case the current tips me over and I get into trouble alone. It's deceptively safe at the foot of the falls, but in fact quite deadly if you don't respect the serious nature of rapid moving water. Thanks for watching William and have a great day! :)

Oh thank you. I love Muskoka too. It may seem a little strange uploading summer videos in the middle of winter, but it is a nice reminder that summer will be here again in a few months. Thank you for your nice comment. I'll be uploading a few more Muskoka videos in the next few days. :)
