This is why I hate light rail... Slow as hell. I could get there faster in a car. Light rail is great for mid-sized cities, but terrible for large, sprawling metro areas. Heavy rail systems like WMATA, BART, and MARTA are better suited for cities this size. Why? Top speeds of 70-80 mph and separate elevated/underground railways can get travelers from one end of the city to the next in a few minutes. It would take forever to get across Metro Atlanta on light rail...

@JDRiseAgainstTV Yes. The tunnel is what I believe to be 3 miles long? and 15-25 floors underground.

@denny906 that isn't a short tunnel! Its long

It's not really a subway but only a light rail that went into an underground tunnel for a short distance.

purely a timing thing. There's likely a train ahead. You can say a lot of things about those train, but they keep a very accurate schedule most of the time

IDK why it's so slow. i live in the same city they run in, that gets me too.
why so slow? are they doing testing or something?

Some trains slow down if there is already a train ahead of them, especially in rush hours. Otherwise it's a regular run.
