Jennifer Blanke, Director of the Centre for Global Competitiveness and Performance, and Thea Chiesa, Associate Director of Aviation, Travel and Tourism Industries, talk about the findings and the relevance of this year's Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report.
@Rocket1232123 We used these two indicators from UNWTO in this chart to highlight which countries have suffered from a drop in tourist volume (i.e. incoming tourists) and "revenue" (i.e. change of int'l tourism receipts). Ireland particularly has suffered from both a significant drop in tourist arrivals and tourism receipts during 2007-2009 which can be related to the weak UK inbound market and (maybe) the unfavourable Euro-GBP exchange rate for UK citizens.
