@swelstead Yeah, that's Zeke Manyika. He didn't play on Uncertain Smile, but he played on other tracks from the same album Soul Mining, from The The (one of my all-time fave bands, that I also discovered back then).
The The, Orange Juice...if we go on like this, we might find other similar tastes. In my case, there are so many. It's already looking good! Want to marry me?

eh. I prefer pre-Zeke. They made some great music together with him, but they never produced another album as good as "You Can't Hide Your Love Away Forever."

um...that 'black drummer' was Zeke Maniyika if I'm not mistaken - and he was a HUGE talent. He played on The The's 'Uncertain Smile' album too - another classic album of the same era.
