everytime I watch the bridge ...Gene's hair..always stays with me...blowing beautifully in the wind..so free. I ask myself why he was so sad, that he couldnt find love? I watch this and want to call out to him everytime

I used to work with Gene at Tower Records Mtn View and I bought his old '59 Cadillac M-M Hearse from his Mom when the city threated to tow it away for it not being registered. Y'know, girls used to come in and stare at him at Tower Records and he was just oblivious to it all. Being depressed is an overwhelming thing. All these chicks thought he was gorgeous and I think 'cuz he was depressed he didn't even notice it. I hope he's at peace now. I truly do. Rest in Peace Gene.

There are no words to describe how sad this is. It's to bad that Gene could not find help and love and more friends while he was here. Maybe he was to mentally ill and needed help. A job called him the day of his suicide offering him a manager's position. Ironic. how did the photographers know to film this guy walking, stopping and then jumping? Did Gene know they were filiming? two views of his death, why didn't they call the police to try and stop him? Sucks!
