Note: Yes - This was for the 1.6 to 1.5 downgrade, but the process is the same for ANY downgrade.

Here's a quick, easy and safe method of downgrading minecraft with windows 7's "Previous Versions" feature. This works great to undo the update if for instance the multiplayer server you play on hasn't been updated yet.
