4/28-29/95

May Day Stadium
Pyongyang, North Korea

Kollision in Korea was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event that was jointly produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). It was the first PPV from a North American wrestling promotion to be held in North Korea. It took place over a period of two days in April 1995. It also holds the record for largest attendance for a wrestling event with 340,000 people in attendance during the course of the event.

  • @Nation4202007 Bischoff's book, Flair's book, Bret's book.

  • @SnakeMan227 not true, no source, bullshit

  • @BarackSays who says? whats your source?

  • @nWoDARKKNIGHT This was actually a New Japan show...Antonio Inoki put this together...

  • 190,000 people... amazing

  • I read in Bischoff's book how people would cross the street when they saw the wrestlers coming as they toward over most of the population, and I believe in a shoot interview Scott Norton was questioned by police after he made a negative remark about North Korea when he was talking to his wife on the phone. I think he said they cut the line and were at his door seconds after he said it.

  • @eddiegfan22 I was about to post the exact same thing, I'm surprised he wasn't given a memo.

  • Poor Chas Skaggs; trying his best to get anything out of the erie, stone-faced Koreans. He should've talked to Christopher Hitchens about how, when a foreigner is in North Korea, you're not even allowed to look Koreans in the eye on the street.

  • @DefLeppardVanHalen thanks for the info!

  • @wftheassassinwf The ring announcer is longtime NJPW ring announcer Hidekazu "Kero-chan" Tanaka, who left NJPW in 2006.
