Alexander Scriabin
Preludes:
"Six Preludes" Op. 13, No. 1 in C Major
"Twenty-four Preludes" Op. 11 No. 13 in G-flat Major
"Twenty-four Preludes" Op. 11 No. 14 in e-flat minor
Performer: Allyson Crow
Recorded live Nov. 20, 2007

Here's a recording of me playing some Scriabin Preludes; again, in the concert hall at my college, Fazioli piano. Sorry this is another "older" recording. I will record some video(s) of my performances, hopefully around August 2008, and post them as soon as I can. I apologize for any mistakes. Please feel free to leave constructive comments about the piece, composer, performer, or video.

Thanks for listening!

  • there are some wrong notes, I guess they are just mistakes of your playing but at 1:29 I think you just readed badly the score, the bass should be A natural not B flat

  • I like the picture with Mama and Papa Scriabin

  • re op 13 no 1: be careful with the rhythm in the opening measures. it very much sounded like the beats leading into each new measure were played as triplets! so just be mindful of the meter. i know because i did the *very* same thing when i was learning this piece. very good choice, and thanks for sharing this with us!

  • your performance well conveyed the spirit from the composer and yourself to your audience. You have wonderful talent, Allyson!

  • Allyson, Thanks for sharing. They are very beautiful!!!

  • I have never heard of these preludes, but I thoroughly enjoyed the pieces. Well performed. Allyson !
