Tonight Londoners, businesses and government departments were encouraged to switch off their lights for an hour. The purpose? To cut carbon and remind us all about the differences we can make to climate change.
To see if big businesses like Harrods and famous buildings such as Buckingham Palace would live up to their promises, we took a whistlestop tour of London.
Lights Out London is guessing that 2 million light bulbs went out across town - there's obviously no way of actually measuring who did - has saved roughly 750 MWh. That's enough juice to run 3,000 TVs for a year.
ppl may see u as a geek for doing this.. I dnt think this is down to u.. Its up2 each individual if they want 2 turn there lights on or off..

It was good of you to conduct this audit. I've sent an email to Starbucks asking why they didn't participate in the event.
