  • I think the one exception for the seperation of Space Marines would be the Space Wolves since they are so different (not adhering to the Codex Astartes).

  • Same could be said of the Black Templars.... VERY different army.

  • Agreed, otherwise, the others could be put in one army.

  • My argument during the show was that no one codex should have 10 choices in each of the for org slots. so breaking up the armies into different codexes make sense if your imposing some sort of restriction (ie no whirlwinds or librarians for BT). It would kind of suck if any SM army could take an emp champ with vows for that army on top of all the stuff in the sm codex. This is one of the issues with the eldar codex. IT does not seem like there are restrictions put on army types.

  • i was wondering do any of you guys the panel play tournament level 40k.

  • I have played a handful of tournaments, not sure about other panel members.

  • I agree with bootleg. All armies get boosted at the same time, no lag between armies.

  • I like Warmachine for the same reason when MK II they released a faction deck to update all the models to the new rules before their new Forces of books come out

  • Well I'm saying they could probably work it like it was in the 3rd edition Chaos codex. You couldn't mix Khorne with Nurgle or Slaanesh with Tzeentch, etc. If they said "You can only have an EC if you play a black templars list, in which you are not allowed to take the following: etc, etc." They could have one book. I think having all these different codices is a bit silly. Chaos has done fine without them (and they 'could' really use seperate books for the four main legions).

  • favorite army i dont collect tryanids i just leave the look ands i say 4 new armies how bout mercaneries

  • Also, several GW spokesmen have stated that they are updating the Dark Eldar model line for release sometime this year. Assuming this is true, it is doubtable that DE will be taken out of the game. Also, the Necrons are a pretty important figure in the fluff, and therefore are very unlikely to be taken out of the game.
