  • This is F"n Awesome! I had no Idea 707 was on YT. Never thought to check before.Isnt that Tod Howarth on guitar? I think he went on to play guitar with Frehleys comet? They did the song Megaforce, but frehleys Comet called it "Calling On You".. am I correct?

  • @dewycatt2112 - Not quite. Tod is not in this video. That's Kevin Russell on guitar. However, you are correct that Tod was in 707 later on and then was in Frehley's Comet (as well as spending some time with Cheap Trick). Yes, the Comet did a version of Megaforce and renamed it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

  • played it on KFM Chico,Ca. when it was released (vinyl) and kept in rotation 15+yrs. until C.D. cleanup came along. i snatch it up every time i get lucky to find it used! went to the drive-in 1982 to see Mega-force in my 70 NOVA w/friends.allways wondered about the Frehleys Comet connection, was huge KISS fan. along with Survivor's "Caught in the game" & Donnie Iris' Ah Leah DEFINATELY 3 greatest one-hitters of that and all time!

  • Dude, the bass player reminds me of Nigel Tufnel! LOL

  • Great song. Great debut album, but they were never the same without Duke. Rest in Peace, Duke. You should have been a big star!

  • I went to High School with the Guitar Player Kevin Russell. Phil the singer and bass player is still playing in local Detroit Bars. Kevin still lives in California.

  • Reminds me of my first boyfriend Mark.. Such a beautiful song!

  • this is a modern classic.every once in awhile, some little band from somewhere just picks a classic like this right out of the ether, and it's forever theirs, and immortalizes the lucky lads, but they remain anonymous.a classic every bit as much as the cars' 'touch and go'.just timeless, yet it instantly transports you back 30 years..dang,i want some of those years back-these guys had a lot of competition, and yet stood in a field of their own..p'rhaps a little loverboyesque, yet unpretentious-FAB!!!

  • We covered this in the 80s when it was fresh out on the radio. Drum part has some cool changes I enjoyed learning. The lyrics message gets blurred into the performers well. So if you play this song at the club live, in the ladies eyez...

It will be good 4U :)

  • ok,Thanks man! I have the 707 CD MEGAFORCE.and all of frehleys comet. That period was the BEST! all 70"s..i liked the 80"s rockers as well.
