for years the Romanians had routines with 10.00 start value without taking risks. I think that it was kind of genious but just not as spectacular, but they can't do that in the new code of points and that's one of the reasos why we haven't seen Romania in the gold medal position for a while, but they have a very strong team: Ana Porgras is very consistent and beautiful to watch, The great Catalina Ponor is back and Amelica Racea and Raluca Haidu are quite promising and Octavian Belu is back

This is my favourite Russian line-up ever with Khorkina, Produnova, Zamo and Lobaznyuk. This team competition is the most exciting I've ever seen

lol ! if you want to see gymnastics, watch the BBC coverage. for the drama, you can always count on NBC. personnally, i don't prefer one or the other, i enjoy both for different reasons.

True, the Romanians had very unattractive looking bars routines - and all the same!
If you watch carefully however, you'll see that almost all their routines started out of 10 (in the old system) and however unattractive it looked, they had some very good technique. Every girl, for example, kept her legs locked from beginning to end.
It was part of the Romanian genius back then that they always knew what it would take to win - how to get the maximum number of points with minimal risk.
