Scooter was my first pony, I got for 4000 dollars. He was the love of my life, I started riding when I was 11, and got him when I was 12. I was green, he was green, but we showed in large ponies from 2005-2007. We competed in Centex and won year end awards two year in a row, 2006 year end forth place for pony hunter, and Reserve Champion pony eq. 2007 year end forth place high point rider 14-17, third place pony hunter, and grand champion pony eq. We won Reserve champion high point at the 2007 summer circuits, qualified for 2'6 medal finals two years in a row, winning 5th in the first, and a very close second in the last. (I was however riding a different, very green pony, becuase scooter actually was hurt that weekend). We also did some jumper classes just for fun :) we did two A rated showed, but never qualified for pony finals. Isabella was my second pony, who I got in the fall of 2008. She was a pasture pony who everyone gave up on. I got her for the price of 1 dollar. She was very very green, no show experience. Heck, no JUMPING experience. The people who owned her hadn't ridden her in a long time, and so we started with the basics. She was extremely smart, and so we started showing in the spring of 2009 in centex shows (only 3) she was champion at every single one, in green hunter and large pony hunter. We then went to our first A show that year, competed in children's ponies, and won reserve champion. The next show season, 2010, we only competed on the A circuit. What an amazing show season. We showed at the winter festivals in katy in our first green pony hunter round, and she ended up with 2 thirds, a forth, a second, and a fifth. We showed in the waco spring preview before pin oak, and we were reserve champions. we showed at pin oak, a won a first, second, third, and two fifths, and were one point from being reserve champion. We competed at Tyler in april, and got 4 seconds and one forth, and won reserve champion. We competed in Tyler in May and won all our classes except for one second, and were champions. We then competed at waco again before going to pony finals, and we won reserve champion along with second place in a classic. At pony finals, we simply had the time of our lives :) Our last show was the Katy year end show, and we won our last class together. These ponies taught me to be a good sport, a good rider, and even more importantly, a good person. I owe everything I am to them, and my only regret is that I can't keep them forever. I love them, but If I'm going to be serious in this sport, It's time to move on from the pony ring...goodbye, Scooter. goodbye, Bells. :'( I know you two will teach two new little girls to be great pony riders.
