i was handed a pair of 147 upgraded trucks by thunder trucks and told to review them, i skated a local skatepark (moraga, ca) and headed out to oakland for some street after a gnarly shin injury i had suffered early that day (sorry for the lack of street)

overall these trucks are light, durable, reasonably priced and turn super well, i suggest them if you're looking to get any new trucks soon.

a big thanks to thunder co. and DLX for the hookup and opportunity to review these bad boys

  • i've always skated indys too, maybe it's time for a change to thunder...

what deck were you riding there?

  • @adidaskater yeah they turn slightly different but these have an angled kingpin for even better turning and less wheelbite. im riding a blank sample deck for a friend's shop right now

  • @drewbilizer dude how's Sam's deck riding?

  • @JShuSkates this isn't sam's actually it was Roy's he wanted me to sample three different decks and review them... and sam's are great!

  • Hey! Isn't that Stereolab in the background? If so, and at any rate, props for sweet background music! And a sk8-str8-to-the-point review. Those are the thunder hi 147 II's right? are they commercially available now? I can't seem to get any hits when I search the interweb for'em, except at the thunder page and some commercials. Where to get 'em? I live in spain...

  • buttery spots

  • R those tbe hollow lights

  • ive just got a pair of thunder 147 low lights and when u shake them u can here a rattle is that normal? anyone

  • Where are you ? Thoes spots look fun

  • you skate like andrew reynolds so much

  • @CapNbubbleB can't post links, it seems, but socal ships worldwide cheap. I paid 20$ for shipping of trucks to spain.

  • @CapNbubbleB Socalskateshop has them in 149's, wich would fit an 8"+ deck fine, and they should be getting the 147's back soon. Just contact them. BUT!!! I decided to go for theeve tiax 5.5's, and they are simply incredible!! Some magical esoteric engineering going on with those trucks. Probably slightly heavier, but all people who love indys and thunders will extrasuperlove theeve's. Soooooooooooo stable, and with the wickedest turn. Ever. And so solid it's scary. Much lighter than indy stage10

  • @brageboogie im with yah :)

i cant find any place to get these but to win them for dlx

  • if u guys like thunders try the alumanum version
