This shot is makeable.. Its not really out of the world or something. Play reyes 3 rail kick shot. That is really out of the world.
But nevertheless, a very difficult shot. But makeable.

look at the shot on the 4 ball, it didnt have that much of an angle, you forgot a huge part of the shot. to hit it hard enough with bottom right so the cue ball gets stunned across to the side rail. i would go out on a limb and say only nevel and pearl can make that shot like he did there.

i believe the shot itself is not that impossible if you just set it up on a practice table. but to be able to pull it out on a TV table during an US open match is amazing.

I have to agree with everything dieuroux said. It's not that difficult of a shot. The brand new cloth and balls on that table make it look better than it is. Still very nice, though it's not a shot that "only a handfull of players in the world" could make. I think I hit the same shot twice last night :)

He said only a handful of players in the world could PLAY that shot, not make it. Two different things. As in only a handful of players could execute that shot during a professional tournament on TV knowing that one slight mistake could cost you the tournament.
