Does HIV Look Like Me? United States Campaign

The DOES HIV LOOK LIKE ME? United States campaign (www.doeshivlooklikeme.org), produced by Hope's Voice International (www.hopesvoice.org), a leading HIV and AIDS education organization, is expanding to communities and countries around the world. The campaign consists of videos campaign created by ambassadors; young people between the ages of 15 and 29, living with HIV or AIDS (YPLHIV/A). The ambassadors are human rights leaders standing up to fight misconception, stigma and inequality with their faces, voices and individual stories.

As we pass 25 years of this epidemic, we recognize it is time for an approach that features young people. The fear-based campaigns that have dominated the global response to the epidemic have made people in society afraid of those living with HIV or AIDS. The DOES HIV LOOK LIKE ME? United States campaign is proud not to use fear, but instead corrects the misconceptions and shares the realities surrounding the lives of those living with HIV or AIDS. This helps to end stigma by encouraging communities to have open dialogue.

The DOES HIV LOOK LIKE ME? United States campaign is mobilizing young people to define their disease in turn redefining their life and ending stigma.

they look so normal. im more scared now because i could've had unprotected sex with them.. but more relaxed about it, knowing that i will still look hot as that hiv positive guy tanned thats been positive for 6 years.. so handsome!
