Someone should make an entirely new Scifi movie based on the look of this neon city. Its like TRON but with more colors. Really Cool.

actually the sex scenes are based on the Tibetan book of the Dead. It references the point where the soul is ready to be reborn and will see a lot of people having sex around it and must choose the parents. the special effects are even more intense because oscar's brain is finally beginning to shut down so things are starting to become disoriented and crazy

Obviously you guys were not as high as me when i first saw this movie. For the first 30 minutes i thought i was oscar, when he was shot, i died on the inside.

All and all i LOVED it.

this is just an absolutely amazing piece of art. it's the most creative and well planned film I have seen in far too long.  Just fucking awesome. WOW!

I loved this movie, but I also couldn't get over the fact that this sort of cinematography wasn't being put to use to adapt Neuromancer.

@19Aries91 Wow, that's pretty cool. I had never thought about consciousness that way. I've always considered our "mind" to be a result of the chemicals in the brain. I like your perspective on it too. I'll have to check that out, thanks for the recommendation.

@Yotes4Life Plus, take into account the thousands of children who, at an age & in a setting that could not have possibly suggested anything to them, recall the lives of someone completely different with uncanny detail. You should read up on Ian Stevenson's reincarnation research. Mostly studying how children's inexplicable scars match the fatal wounds of those deceased shortly before the children's deaths. I think you'll find it very interesting.

@Yotes4Life Well, not so quick now. We DO know a key few things for sure. Everything is fleeting & impermanent. Nothing exists or arises without something preceding it. And who we may initially think to be ourselves, the person we see in the mirror, is ultimately illusory. There is no unchanging self. Only a stream of consciousness. When we die. It's only the vessel carrying the consciousness that dies. That luminosity carries on to another vessel unless it is unattached.
