My Prayer - Yji

Verse I:
Dear God, It's been a while since we talk
I know that You were tryin' to, but I ignore Your knock
Forgive me for those times that I look the other way
Pay no mind to You and rather go astray
I'm sorry for the things that I do You wrong
I'm sorry for breaking Your heart and make You mourn
I pray for forgiveness, I pray for my sins
Lord take me back, and make me whole again

I admit that I'm weak, and my words do fail
I break promises, but I know You never will
Father You know me more, You know me better
The words of my mouth, the strands of my hair
The beat of my heart, the things that I see
Are like written words in Your diary of me
That's why I'm convinced that You can understand
That I have baggages, Lord make me a better man

You are a powerful God, created all the universe
The earth, the heavens, the stars, everything there is
Even the things we can't imagine, we can't comprehend
Came from the words of Your mouth, didn't even lift a hand
I saw on TV how small the earth is
Compared to a giant star we found, Canis-Majoris
It's crazy how big it is, my planet looked like a grain
It's crazier to think that call me by name

I wanna say thank You for everything You've done
For me, my family, my friends, for everyone
Thank You for the hope, that I'm holding on to
Thank You for the life, I'm giving it back to You
Thank You for the strength that carries me on
For Your unconditional love, You even call me son
I'm humbled and honored, grateful for Your mercy
Your grace, kindness, May Your spirit live in me

Verse II:
Father God I pray for my friends and my family
I know You love them too, i pray for their safety
You know the desires of their hearts, I hope You grant them
I lift their lives to You, keep them from being broken
If anyone of them is feeling sick or hurting
Take away their illness, i pray for their healing
I love them so much, they are very precious to me
May You be the center of our lives, to love You is our duty

Hear me O Lord, I pray for my nation
from the citizens to government, give them Your direction
Help us fight selfishness, corruption and poverty
I'm no activist, i'm just sick of the works of the enemy
Breaks my heart to see, kids my age under the influence
I pray for them to find You, and for their parents
God I pray that You reach them, It's up to You how
People like them needs love, and they need it now

I saw a young girl with her baby on the streets
knocking on car doors, begging for something to eat
while some government official robs nation's money
did not care, just to eat somewhere fancy
I pray that they meet You, and be in thier lives
Lord use my life, i won't run and hide
This is my prayer, I'm not just rhyming
I want them to see, I want them to sing

Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other.
Our God is Healer, Awesome in Power, Our God! Our God!
