  • did you ever have them in the same tank? the first one has lots of rips in her fins. x: they're all very beautiful bettas. but, half gallons are WAY too small for any fish, unless it's a temp thing until they get bigger tanks. if you add any more decor, the tanks won't have much room for them to swim in. x: to help the first one's rips, change her water daily to keep it clean. she could get infections in the rips. x:

  • @Luimeril yea and they went at it but she only got ripped like once shes a crown tail so mabey thats why you thought she was ripped up? i had a fish in another room in the same tank as the white one and its really ripped up like just destroyed but their all female bettas and i was told you could keep females in the same tank -_- anyway i do have a five gallon tank but i need to buy a divider for it so idk ive seen her swimming around like doing laps and she seems happy so ill probely ...

  • @Luimeril ... keep her in that tank for a while and see how she doess but im def gonna change the water often and keep it clean and you only have to change the water mabey once or twice a week the water is crystal clear after one day still

so it seems, but the ammonia builds up fast. i have a female in a one gallon that i gotta change many times in a week. it's generally two 50% water changes, and one 100% water change every week. x: ammonia builds up really fast in a small tank like that, and makes them ill really fast.

nah, i've had a crowntail female, and have a doubletail CT girl. their fins are spikey, but not to the extent of your girl. i had a tail biter, so i know fin damage from fin types. the general rule is, 5-6 females in one 10 gallon tank. they'll still nip at each other, but won't outright fight to the death like just two or three in a tank. check out ultimatebettas(dot)com and bettafish(dot)com, if you wanna start a sorority of all females. :3
