@imsuckingwind You sound like you NEED to either learn how to play or practice more.
That amp has plenty of drive for ANY style of music yes, including metal and fusion..but is the player capable of coaxing those tones out of the amp? Just give me a tube screamer or a good OD pedal and it'll do anything. No one really plays amps WITHOUT pedals anyways but then if you'd been playing for a while, you'd KNOW that.
People use pedals even with Bogner Ecstasy and Diezel amps. Go get a pod!

Splendid tone man. That's one of the only tones I've ever heard that actually comes across with an emotion. Not to say your playing has no emotion but the tone itself creates an image in my head. It's crazy cool. Good stuff.

Hi, does the sound recorded with the suhr mic faithfuly reprensts what it sounds like in the room?

Not really, the sound with a mic'ed recording is very dry (also it was recorded with a pretty shitty mixer and soundcard). you can get a little better idea of how it sounds in the room in my other video with the Suhr tele, which I recorded with the video camera mic

this amp does everything but do the dishes. The only thing i dont think it has enough drive for me. It could prob use an overdrive pedal, but for money 1999.00 nah.There are better sounding amps for less money .IMO

the drive also depends a lot on the preamp tubes - I use 12At7 and 12AU7 instead of 12AX7. if you install two 12AX7's you'ld get significantly more drive. btw the street price is far less than what you wrote, I believe it's 850 or so
