I make videos to raise money for my kids' college education. I have 3 kids and plan on spending the next 10 years contributing to the public body of knowledge and helping you learn! If you'd like to give back via a microscholarship, click here: http://bit.ly/KidsCollege

Instead of saving for my kids' college, I make videos using the money I would have saved.
The thought is it will help educate the world as a whole, and one day generate enough revenue to pay for their education. Until then if you appreciate what you've learned in this video and the effort that went in to it, please share the video. If you REALLY liked it, feel free to pitch a few dollars towards their college fund by clicking here:

    Apache: 182 MPH

    Black Hawk: 183 MPH

    Chinook: 196 MPH

That is the opposite of what I thought it would be. How weird.

Hmmm... Sounds right. Seems like it would be more than just 6% faster though (according to the top comment). Damn physics lol

if one rotor is turning clockwise and the other anticlockwise, you'll have an inverted dissymetry of lift between both rotors. One will lift the left side, and the other the right side, canceling each other out

Well... If you remove the tail and put rotors with the correct shape and turn the helicopter 90 degrees and maybe add a couple of wings then it´s possible :P

He said after watching all these we could make an educated guess about which is fastest. Because of the dissymmetry of lift I would expect all to have the same top speed. Why is the dual rotor 47 faster? Someone said the 2 rotors would cancel the effect but that still doesn't seem right to me.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could make full size helicopters just as agile?!

    Damn physical limits.
