This is a World of Warcraft parody of 'Viva la Vida' by Coldplay. 'Vanilla' is the term for old-school pre-expansion World of Warcraft. Lyrics posted below.

LYRICS:
I used to rule, at WoW
was the king of the battlegrounds
now in arenas I feel alone,
lose to noobs I used to pwn
I used to raid all night
feel the fear in onyxias fight
Listen as the guilds all sing
well the Lich King is dead, lets kill him again
One minute I held the key
and AQ would only open for me
but Ive discovered no one cares, in chat
its all emblems of this and emblems of that
I hear the Dalaran bells a ringing
another 27 DKs are dinging
I still remember my Skullflame shield
but now its only greens and blues I wield
I know some people might think its lame
but in the old world there was never
never any flying mounts
and that was when I ruled at WoW
It was so wicked how it was, before
killed every boss in Molten Core
Spent a weekend clearing Zul' Gurub
Now I cannot believe that those get pugged
Every new expansions great
But I fear they've just sealed my fate
Just a pally with a high, /played
Oh who would ever want me to raid?
I hear the Dalaran bells a ringing
another 27 DKs are dinging
I still remember my skullflame shield
but now its only greens and blues I wield
For some reason I cant explain
I cant even clear Naxx on my main
It makes me wonder, how
How I had ever ruled at WoW
Each year there seems like a million changes
rogues that AOE and pets for mages
Theres no more farming, and no more grinding
My level seven alts have epic riding
before some reason I go insane
Ill change my server and I'll change my name
and maybe then, somehow,
that is when Ill rule at WoW
W-w-what's this feeling? I've never felt this in a long time... nostalgia mixed with sadness.
Let's get down to business, though. Remember when you first got WoW and you were like, "Darn! I died again! Oh well, I'm only Level 2, it'll get easier!" Then there were back-to-back battles, and the feeling of greater power when you had your Epic Mount. True happiness, I say.
