Had he been born ten years sooner or later, or in a different part of the world, the planets would not have aligned properly and the confluence of events would not have allowed him to be influenced and shaped by the factors and people who have so greatly influenced his work: his family upbringing on Long Island and his constant proximity to New York City; his education at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where Robert Mapplethorpe also was a student; his apprenticeship with Edward Melcarth, who became one of his strongest artistic and life influences; and his coming-of-age at the peak of the sexual revolution of the late 1960s. All these factors have played a role in the man he has become..."

I have received some success as a muralist including my work at: New York's Tavern on the Green, The Hotel Pierre, New York Historical Society, Music Theatre International and the 1985 "Party of the Year" at (The Metropolitan Museum of Art). My work is in many private residences and restaurants here as well as Paris, Venice, Marrakesh and Monte Carlo.

My career has been fairly diversified. I have also designed china, scarves and Christmas cards for (Tiffany & Co.).
