To be fair, the vast majority of people from Derry are Catholic, and even my Protestant friends reject calling it ''Londonderry'', as it sounds too bizarre and is seen as a way of imposing loyalism. Not that I take any particular side, however, extreme loyalists are not among my favorite of people.

I do not believe in your god and this is not because you are protestant, I do not believe in your god because the Christian's god is for the rich. I do not believe in your queen or king because I am republican, but not republican in the Irish sense; I am republican because I want a republic for Spain.

Im from londonderry,n guess wat dats da name, look in any map.your man is correct the area he showed was a protestant area it was the inside of the walls, it dosnt matter that derry is 75% catholic it is a protestant city. Londonderry is so important to Protestant history cus wen King James landed in Ireland the protestants from south of Northern ireland wer bein killed so everyone kept moving north,until they reached Londonderry, where 1000s lay under siege. I just think that people of a small island should be able to live together in peace since religion should be forgotten when one talks about housing, schooling, civil rights and so on.
