  • All the details on the materials and procedures are in the manuals along the left side of h2otsun.com Making roof penetrations and sealing them on metal roofs is easier than any other roof types. There is a wood batten under the metal and metal seals to metal with silicone . The strap is ppa coated ss of the highest quality available for peanuts in China. The solar panel will rip long before the straps.

  • You can do it same way on a metal roof and yes you don't need the wear plates. You buy all this at Hot Sun Industries 858 683 0800

  • Anyone can post a web site and sell a solar panel drop shipped from a distributor with no support, knowledge or warranty service. The vacuum breakers and 3 way valves are way overpriced on that web site and the panels are Techno Solis, which have to be truck shipped and you're looking at a $300 bill for shipping to get a replacement if one shows up damaged and you can qualify for a warranty. Don't use my You Tube channel to spam my viewers with your misleading sales ploys.

  • What are the straps made of? Are they strong enough to stand up to Arctic winds in the winter? What if there is an ice & snow build up on them?

  • How is the strap bracket attached to a metal roof?

  • How do you attach the strap bracket to a metal roof so that it doesn't end up leaking over time?

  • I want to install this on a metal roof - do I have to do anything different? I assume I don't need to slip a protective plate under any fittings.
