Killer demo of the VOX ToneLab LE modeling floor processor featuring Austin, TX guitarist David Spann. Wow. Killer playing, great sounds, cool gear. And it's all recorded direct!
Why do people want to hear a floor pedal recorded direct? The biggest challenge with all floor processors is the way they match up sonically with guitar amps of different kinds. David Spann is a really fine player, but the demo is not a demonstration of a practical use for anyone outside of a studio, or who need to play direct to board at gigs. As for Spann, I'm a fan.
I'm going on tour this summer, and we're strapped for bus space, so I can't bring an amp. I'm playing through a PA, and I don't have a whole lot of money. I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheaper alternatives that will still give me the dynamics and versatility?
I’ve been playing guitar for 48 years - many professionally. I have no connection with Vox. I’ve owned all kinds of gear. You CAN get some very good sounds from the ToneLab LE by building your own presets. Few of the factory presets are usable. Use a clean amp (such as a Fender Twin, Deluxe or a Jazz Chorus). If you A-B ToneLab sounds with the originals, many are surprisingly close especially the Uni-Vibe. Listen to the sounds INDIVIDUALLY to appreciate them fully.
how much does it cost??????????????

Well, if I look past the awesome guitar player, I see mediocre at best.
