To the guys that are bewildered by the discrepancy in dyno results from car to car: it is difficult to calibrate a dyno system ... they dyno systems will produce different results, depending on the calibration. If you also consider that there are a number of manufacturers producing dyno systems, the discrepancies are even larger. Really, comparing dyno results between different systems is useless, unless the exact same dyno system is used in all comparisons.

@diwun67 The Nissan is lacking on the performance side.. Both numbers are right.. whats your point? The is350 runs 13.7 iin the 1/4 and the 370z 13.3 in 1/4. The lexus is a better car by far!
-
@jmelvin269 Those numbers are about right with ~15% drivetrain loss. Put your IS350 on a dyno and watch it put down about 260whp. Do you know anything about cars and dyno #'s?

stock dyno?

@TiestoSRO There is a guy who has a video on here but the dyno reads 258 whp for the 370z. I know a guy in my car club that did the dyno ant it was 276 and I have seen a different one from the boombop shop at 272. What is the actual whp?

Is the engine at the flywheel that has 330hp. 330 minus all the loss involved in the transmission differential etc etc etc. gives you the real Hp or Hp at the wheels.
-
and holy shit! that dyno wheels sounds like an airbus 300 taxing/taking off : )
-
-15% p/t loss, those #'s are about right!
-
the dyno result of the new zed seems to be all over the place!!!
HP and Torque... is not that consistent from car to car!!
It's true. The camaro is supposed to handle pretty good, to the point where the difference between it and the Z will only be discernible at the track. However, for those people that LOVE twisty roads, the Z will still be a better choice.
