"Doctor Finlay" is a British television series based on A.J. Cronin's stories about the fictional hero, Dr. Finlay. It is a follow-up to "Dr. Finlay's Casebook," the successful BBC series. This show picks up the story in the days immediately following World War II. Dr Finlay returns to the practice at Arden House in Tannochbrae at a time when the National Health Service is about to be instituted.The show stars David Rintoul as Dr. Finlay, Ian Bannen as his semi-retired practice partner, Dr. Cameron, and Annette Crosbie as his housekeeper, Janet. Other central characters include Finlay's assistant, Dr. Neil, played by Jason Flemyng and Finlay's new partner, Dr. Napier, played by Jessica Turner. The series was a Scottish Television production that was filmed in Auchtermuchty, Fife, Scotland. It aired in the U.S. on PBS' "Masterpiece Theatre."

Finlay puts his career in jeopardy when he falls in love with a patient — a married woman. Dr. Cameron has problems with the star pupil at his English lessons for German prisoners of war. Angus issues a surprise invitation to Janet and Dr. Neil makes his debut as an orator, with great success.

  • @galie77 Dans la partie 4 le docteur Cameron semble reussir a convaincre Gerd de la verite des camps. Son attitude change de cholere a la tristesse. Il se rend compte du fait que des enfants dans le film avaient la meme age de ses propres enfants.

  • @Galie77 Le prof (en effet le Docteur Cameron) a demande a Gerd de mettre en allemand le poeme "In Flanders Fields" (ou il s'agit des nombreux soldats tombes au premiere guerre mondiale). Tres fache, Gerd a refuse.

    Plus tard, en regardant un film sur les camps d'extermination, il se fache encore, et il dit qu'ils sont du "hollywood", du propaganda.

  • bon voilà je suis française, et je ne comprend pas ce qui se passe avec le prof et Gerd, quelqu'un peut m'expliquer s'il vous plait le dialogue entre eux dans la partie 2 et la partie 4
