Tuesday October 11, 2011 marked the offical opening of PHASE I of the Black Creek Trail Project at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden. Mayir Sherman Guyton and many other City officials were on hand to celebrate the opening of the park and cut the ribbon.
The trail is nice, but the money could have been better used in light of the horrible economy in which we are striving to survive. There are many people going hungry and struggling to have food each month. The money for the trail could have fed a lot of people, myself included. I am thrilled about the trail; I only take issue with the timing - this is a time of saving and helping our poor. By the way, "mayor" is not spelt "mayir." ;-)
