@ActionMovieBuff I can explain. take Transformers 2 for example. 3 hours of explosions gets boring. its like he just said "screw story structure, lets just blow shit up". this movie is the same. just big bangs.
Sorry but that was one of the wost explanations I've ever heard. That's how it was in 1941. Michael Bay talked to the many people that was in that war and he did exactly what they said.
Please! two pilots never got airborne (in hula shirts i might ad) and shot down enemy fighters. all enemy fighters were downed by ground fire. thats a pretty big historical anomaly. and plus, the whole "america saving the day" in the battle of britain is a load of shit. its a shit story, just like all Bay films.
the only US planes in the air during the attack were a flight of b-17s heading in from the mainland. no fighters were airborne. that book is fictitious. face it. all he does is provide action sequences. yes they can be entertaining, but when a whole movie is based on special effects, not story structure, it just creates a sub par film
It's a historical fiction film, like Titanic with the fictional character's, and we all loved it.
p.s. Ok, I got it, there was a bunch of explosions in this film, so what? Steven Spielberg made alot of alien films, James Cameron likes a lot of Sci-fi, Steve Alten likes arguments, Christopher Paolini likes dragons (series) and one of them tried to woo another. And they were all successful.
