There's nothing wrong with any of the musicians here but The Roses were a mythological band; a gang, and that had long passed by this stage.

Ian was able to sing well and sing poorly but it never really mattered before this period cos he was part of a *Band*, here he looks like he should be put down. I'm glad he's back now.

Maybe The Fall of the Roses was nowt to do with Reni or John leaving though... have you ever noticed that the better Mani's hair gets, the worse the band gets..?

I love the Stone Roses, I love this song, I love Ian Brown, and I honestly think that this was one of the worst moments in the history of modern music.

This demonstrates why I've always wished that Stone Roses had a more worthy vocalist than Ian. He's just simply awful live, and every live clip here on YouTube shows that. But even on record, yeah, the studio magic makes him sound at least in tune and acceptable, but it's still a pretty lame, unimpressive voice on top of some seriously GREAT tunes. I get really tired of listening to their stuff for any length of time because his voice starts to really annoy me after a while. A crying shame!

Yeah. I saw them live in Los Angeles in 1992 and it was the worst concert I've ever paid to see...and they were my favorite band at the time. This concert reminds me of that show except in LA he started cussing at the lighting or sound engineer most of the time and then basically gave up. He may have even left...I've repressed my memories.
