Irish Premature Babies - Awareness Video 2010

Irish Premature Babies is a non-profit organisation set up by the parents of premature babies. Its purpose is to provide support and information for parents, across Ireland and beyond, who find themselves in a similar situation. About all of the babies shown are alone in an incubator. I'm wondering, don't Irish hospitals use the Kangaroo Mothercare, where the parents' chest IS the incubator? That is the newest technique that is being used in modern countries nowadays, and it is very benefitial for preemies. Just wondering...

@lideazkue Hi there, thanks for your response. I produced the video based on the photos I was supplied, but I know for a fact that IPB do promote the Kangaroo care method here in Ireland. At least one photo in the video demonstrates this.  As for the video itself, it was more to create awareness and garner support for the cause, rather than to act as an instructional video, but I do take your point. Thanks again for your comments.

Excellent presentation on this very important cause. When we have a baby, we have dream, a landscape in mind, and it can be snatched so quickly away.

It's fantastic to see young companies like bitsixteen being immediately socially aware. People before profit always wins out in the long term. Bitsixteen is already an incredible success.

my dion was born at 30 weeks his lung collapsed during an emergency c section and then he got meningitus but he is now 2 and half its been a long road with some time spent in skbu and peads but we are getting there and he is a gift from god. you are not alone <3
