Do you use some kind plastic or glass in front of the eyes?

Now make infrared glasses that scan your eyes with a beam to make the eyes move.

Do you use plastic bowls over the eyes? What did you paint on for the eyes? I hope you don't mind so many questions. If it is plastic bowls how do you prevent them from fogging?
