Mayor's Garden - Milwaukee, WI

The Mayor's Garden - inspired by the White House Garden of the Obama administration. A vegetable garden right outside city hall in Milwaukee, WI tended by teen interns from the forestry department, with the guidance of Growing Power. Second Harvest of Wisconsin delivers the fresh produce from the Mayor's garden to clients in Milwaukee. Milwaukee is one of 3 cities in the U.S. to have a vegetable garden space tended by city workers. It's a great time to be a Milwaukeean. Special thanks to Will Allen of Growing Power
