One of the dyno pulls on my 96 SS, how does that 3 inch Spintech exhaust sound? Race Prep 383, ATI D-1SC blower, power sapping 4L80E, 3.73's, Dick Miller suspension. Check other vids by BigKahuna13 for more Impala SS action. I drove this car like I stole it and have the vids to prove it.

  • What PSI boost were you running? Did it have an intercooler?

  • @BeulahLips At the time of that video it was 11psi.

  • Lot closer to 615 fly wheel HP than 715 clown

  • @ND4SPDspecV Learn some facts. 4L80E sucks about 20-23% power out. Do the math. Clown.

  • I'll tell you what. When you can drive your car across the country, change tires and nothing else, and road race it, autocross it, win a car show, win a sound off competition, and win a drag race with it you can comment about which blower to put on my car. PS I watched your video, you can't drive to save your life.

  • At 0:45 if anyone was standing behind it chances are they would have been blown away.

  • I dont know where you learned to do your math...553 with about 20% parasatic loss due to drag is about 663....My Lingenfetler 383 made 532/472 rwhp/tq...610 flywheel hp

  • @BeulahLips: To elaborate, I'm wondering if the equally spaced ratios of the 80E overcome the extra power hogging parasitic losses vs. the 60E.

Too bad, I wish they made a 60E with evenly spaced ratios...(does anyone?)

What us hot rodders really need is a 60E with FIVE speeds, and strong.. that would be the bomb.

  • @BigKahuna13 : I'm curious, did you have any back to back comparison of the 4L60E vs 4L80E? I'm looking for documentation as to how much HP loss there is with the 80E. Which you liked better, what RPM your shift points were at. I discovered the 60E drops around 3000 RPM when shifting 1-2 at 5800, and an LT4 with GM Hotcam falls flat on it's face. Not as bad with the low rpm stock motor with less RPM drop and flatter torque curve. Is that why you ran the 80E?

  • chevy should have waited a few years and made these with the ls motor than it would have been a better car... lt1's are shit

  • Check out 96 impala supersport with Wilwood brake and 3 piece wheels type in jasonbatson and check it out.

  • JUNK!
