I finnished two stuff sacks tonight. The firest one wasn't as big as I hoped so I got some more scrap materail and made a larger one, 18" by 3" It works very well for my fishing poles. Thanks. Your video was a great idea. I thik I'll do them your way, next time. It seems much smarter.
Good job on your stuff sack, mrbrendons. With practice your top casing will come out perfect. Silnylon tends to slide away from the seam, so as you roll that top casing, you just have to maintain the same seam allowance. Excellent idea for the bottom pull tab. Sew in a velcro tab and you have a mini pocket for cordage. I use loops so I can hang the stuff sack as food bag(upside down) to keep mice out. Wrap drawcord around mouth of sack so food doesn't fall out when used this way.
