In 2K2 politicians made a pact
To send us up the Tigris to the center of Iraq.
We took our gas masks, Cipro and vaccine,
And we went to find their weapons, if you know just what I mean.

We found their bombs hidden in their population,
In their hospitals and homes, in their schools and in their mosques.
If we just win without killing their civilians,
We will feed them all on caviar, on bagels, cheese and lox.

Well we ran past the Kurds and we ran past the Shiites
And we ransacked the palace where inspectors couldn't go.
We found so much that the whole world trembled
From the shores of Indonesia to the Gulf of Mexico.

While the world stood waiting for the apocalypse
We are holed up here in Baghdad drinking beer and eating chips.
We found a factory making baby milk,
But the powder looked like anthrax so we bombed it straight to...

Well, we...

...found their bombs hidden in their population,
In their hospitals and homes, in their schools and in their mosques.

Well we ran past the Kurds and we ran past the Shiites
And we ransacked the palace where inspectors couldn't go.
We kicked their butt with the whole world cheering,
Cause there's more oil here than in the Gulf of Mexico.

We kicked their butt with the whole world cheering,
Cause there's more oil here than in the Gulf of Mexico.

  • Catchy song. Can´t figure out why that guy playing the Telecaster makes me want to drink a huge glass of beer. Maybe just use a pitcher for the glass ? Nice singing too.

  • Thanks, Mike. Jerry has that effect on people. :o) --Jan

  • Not bad at all.

  • @ringer904 We're not having a go at the troops, we're attacking the politicians for sending them there. I think you're the one who needs to learn also, basic english would be a good start.

  • @GavDuggan1983 Good points, Gav. Would be sorta like us bombing China to retaliate for Pearl Harbor.

  • @AviationguyAlex Retaliation for what?!? 911? Iraq had nothing to do with 911, Iraq was a secular country, Saddam hated Al-Quada and killed terrorists on his turf! As for defence, defending against what?!? All these WMDs had never had! You talk so much rubbish

  • This is a myth that has been perpetuated by the left wing nuts. We are there because of 9-11-2001, a day that will live in infamy as much as 12-7-1941. At least the Japs had the courage to pick on a military target and not civilians.

Yes, Bush admits mistakes were made. In all wars mistakes are made. I hope you remember that when you claim we are there for oil only. Oil never entered in to the mix. It was strictly retaliation and defense.
