@poefred999 Yeah i agree. I loved the turn-based battle system. Real-time battle system is great for any other mario game, but it just doesn't feel right for paper mario.

People are just comparing it to the first two, and they clearly loved the battle system and got mad when it was changed here. It is a great game but disappointing for people who didn't like the change in style. I thought this game was good but would rather turn base battles for the paper mario series.

@tysonwilliam321 The series started on N64, but this specific game was originally supposed to be a gamecube game.

The only things i don't like about this one is I hate Chapter 3-3 except for the boss of it, not sure when to flip from 2D to 3D and I would've like voice acting for the major characters of the game

My only complaint for this paper mario was the attack system, I wanted turn based attack.

If you've ever played Paper Mario 64 or Thousand year door, you'd know why I called him an idiot.
The first 2 have badges to collect, Things to do aside from the normal adventure, Going into battle rather than "Hehehe, Jump on him 2 make him died". The first one was AMAZING with its story, The 2nd one was a great sequel. The 3rd one isn't even a paper mario game.
I'll admit it's decent if you're judging it as a Super Mario game, but as a paper mario game? LOLNO!

I thought this was a great game. I don't see the problem
-2D environments. Easy to navigate and makes backtracking less tedious.
-Going 2D to 3D. I thought that was cool.
-Real Time battles. Even better! I can't stand turn based battles. They slow things down and are downright annoying.
-Constantly flipping between characters in the pause menu. Okay, that's annoying. Like that never happened in the 64 or GC games.
-Wordy as hell. Yes much like it's past games.
