Gary Busey - Words Of Love (Original Stereo)

For all of its historical inaccuracies (and there were several), the 1978 film biopic, "The Buddy Holly Story", was actually quite good, and it contained some remarkable singing by Gary Busey in the starring role. "Words Of Love" was originally written and recorded by Buddy in 1957 and surprisingly never made the Top 40 upon its release that year.

To be honest I actually prefer Gary Busey's cover of Words of Love to Buddy Holly's Version.

Gary Busey flew into Lubbock, Texas shortly after the movie was released. He was met by Buddy Holly's friends and relatives. They all told him the same thing:

The movie sucked, but YOU were Buddy, and then embraced him.
