I remember my sis and I sneaking out the house after moms went to sleep when I was about 9 years old. The parks by the East River in NYC were LIVE. I can remember spending most my time by the DJ's table just reciting the words to this and Check Out My Melody, before this album even came out. Back then I didn't know nothing but my love for Hip Hop...I'll always have it

you can't just say "but that's back in the day...this is the new hip hop". I got young people born in this century saying that the today's music is ass. They be lovin Rakim and whatnot. Yup hip hop fell off HARD.

It was 1987 in California, I was in my Buick Regal Lowrider in 12th grade jamming this song on my 6x9 Kenwood speaker with my EQ flashing the lights. Thank you for posting this jam you really took me back.
