Neak Kru Charya Burt- Pka Lolab Khiev is a new creation inspired by the character of Laura from the Tennessee Williams play, The Glass Menagerie. Charya's Blue Roses explores the life of a Khmer princess who lives in her own imaginary world. To mask her unhappiness, she surrounds herself with things that are familiar. When she tries to break out of her safe world to experience a new life, she becomes frightened by the unknown. It is only when she allows herself to break free that she realizes the promise of her new world. Despite the excitement about her new life, the princess chooses to retreat back to her safe, familiar world.

  • wow. this is so cool. love the fusion of western music and khmer dance. so creative.

  • @TheChandhi It's also best to keep the traditional dances that's dated back from years ago because you won't want to forget those dances. Some of the moves in many dances have already been changed throughout time. There's so many versions of dances now that we don't know what the "real" dance is. So we all have to try and keep our dances alive and going.

  • Absolutely breath taking performance,my compliment to the dancer, the violinist and the celloist.Hat off to the Cambodian classical musician also. All compliment each other very well, this is performing art at it best. Thanks lilcrazi !!
